I received an email from my friend and skilled IT wizard, Fotios, who let me know that my comments were not working right and in fact were returning a “500 Internal Server Error”. The odd thing that got me was that my forms were working fine in FireFox but not in IE. While this doesn’t surprise me it still upset me. But props to Fotios for keep a look out for errors and junk like that! Anyway, after a little bit of research I found a simple answer that seems to have worked pretty well.
Changing the functions.php file fixed this for me.
For reference, in Wordpress v2.5 I changed line 1388 from:
status_header( 500 );
to
status_header( 200 );
This for the time being has solved my issue and hopefully will prove to be a solid fix.
