Coming home from work yesterday I was listening to the radio and I heard the guys on BTLS say something to the effect of prices being under $2 ($1.42 was the quoted price) when W took office. I was absolutely dumbfounded by this and went on to take a look for some backup… I found a site called Swivel. There I found a graph of the U.S. Retail Gasoline Prices Since 2000. Well needless to say, the boys over at BTLS weren’t kidding. According to the graph, January of 2000, gas prices were $1.27 per gallon! So in under 9 years we more than tripled what we pay for gas… I just wanted to give a quick shout-out to the government and oil companies who think there is nothing wrong with this… Thanks guys, enjoy the downfall when it comes!
