MySpace has proved it’s stupidity again with their switch to MSPlinks. Basically what this means is that any outgoing link from your page gets redirected to msplinks.com (myspace links) then filtered and sent back with a bunch of numbers and letters… apparently this was supposed to help the programmer types remove links to porn and spam sites, however this makes it much more difficult for myspace users to recognize phishing and spammer messages because they can no longer preview the url before they click on it… we call that “smarts”…
So because I was sick of seeing msplinks and numbers with letters instead of my web links I implemented a little tool (add on) for Firefox called “greasemonkey”
You can get your own copy and read up on greasemonkey here. This will take you to the mozilla page where you can download and install a copy of greasemonkey…
Now that you have the program, after you install and restart firefox, you can click here and the script should load into greasemonkey and then you will be able to see all the links on myspace pages. Its safer and just good web behavior. If the script doesn’t load you can check out the following site to download it! Happy browsing!

how do i hide my msplinks from my page
unfortunately I don’t think you can “hide” them (at least that I know of). msplinks are myspace specific and all of your outgoing links or any links you add on your own will be re-written as an msplink. I simply offered the “Greasemonkey” link as a way to identify potentially bad links that are now hidden because of myspace’s msplinks. The Greasemonkey plugin is for FireFox (which is the obviously superior browser)and if you’d like to see what is hidden by the msplinks or if your friends want to see what myspace is hiding, you’ll need to use FireFox
