Last week I ordered business cards from an online company that I occasionally deal with. They will remain nameless here for the moment. Anyway, I had to order 3 sets of cards for my team here at the lancaster internet marketing HQ, and when I got them they were PINK! My design has a 7% black background, which doesn’t seem like much, but it’s just the right amount to make the white halftone pattern quietly pop! It also includes the red swirly and some other content in red… Now I have sent these guys files before and have had no issues, but this time it looked as if there was just too much magenta on the press and it bled through into the 7% black that I had in the background. While it looked that way, being pretty sure they use a digital printer, I’m not exactly sure how the mix-up occurred.
I ended up getting in contact with the company and arranged a reprint. In order to do so I needed to go to the UPS store with the return label they so kindly sent and the bad cards. This was Tuesday. I returned the cards at a minimal expense to myself and to my surprise, today, Friday, the reprints arrived! And, oh yes, they are correct and they are nice!
I’m a happy camper.
